Welcome

I am a PhD candidate in Politics at Princeton University, entering the academic job market in Fall 2026. I study comparative politics, with a regional focus on Eastern Europe. My dissertation analyzes the long-term effects of exposure to political violence on political participation. In other work, I study the causes and consequences of revolutions, public opinion in wartime, and local governance. I have published in Comparative Political Studies and the Journal of Historical Political Economy, and I am committed to public-facing scholarship — most recently as a Good Authority fellow in AY 2025-26.

I hold a BA in Government (summa cum laude) and an MA in Regional Studies: Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia, both from Harvard University; an MPhil in Politics and International Studies (with distinction) from the University of Cambridge; and an MA in Politics from Princeton.

My research is grounded in linguistic and regional expertise. I speak Russian and Spanish (fluent), Ukrainian and Romanian (advanced), and Estonian (beginner), and have lived as an exchange student in Russia, Moldova, and Cuba.

When I’m not doing research, you’ll find me running or cycling, open water swimming with my twin sister Camille, and cheering on my favorite minor league baseball team. I’m a proud native Bostonian and alumna of Boston Latin School — the oldest public school in the United States.
